I’m Kathy. I’m Eileen.
We are Artwords. And, we are sisters and have been collaborating in one way or another since birth. Whether it was paper dolls or a decorative painting business or a holiday meal we have creatively collaborated for more years than we care to count. We also have other sisters with whom we collaborate; we are very lucky that way. They haven’t joined us for Artwords…not yet, at least.
Kathy likes to write and engage in whatever creative pastime her muses think up. This is a more recent development since she left the corporate world last year and took back her dreams. Facilitating writing groups using the Amherst Writers and Artists method (www.amherstwritersandartists.com) and being a Kaizen Muse Creativity Coach (www.kanecreativeconsulting.com )are two of her current passions.
Eileen has been a working artist for…well, lots of years. She doesn’t want me to tell you. She is a Certified Decorative Artist, teaches a weekly studio class in oils and acrylics, and in between plays with mixed media, quilting, jewelry and paper arts. She is currently working on the final requirements for becoming certified as a Kaizen Muse Creativity Coach.
The idea of Artwords evolved over many conversations and cups of tea. It started on a car ride to a creativity weekend. It made its way into notebooks, idea books, journals, vision boards and has now emerged into the real world and into your hands.
We hope you visit often. We hope you share photos of your journal pages. We hope you tell us how this process was illuminating and deepening as well as fun and silly. We hope you get to take time to have fun on a page.
Thanks for visiting. Come back real soon!
